Join a group of nature enthusiasts and discover the waterways, creeks, and lagoons of the Tortuguero National Park in the northern Caribbean, the Amazon-like region of Costa Rica. Return to the mainland to meet your private driver for a scenic ride to the Tilaran Mountain Range, home to the Arenal Volcano Park. Before continuing to Manuel Antonio, the Rainforest by the Sea in the Mid-Pacific, enjoy a visit to the Arenal Sky Park Hanging Bridges for a close up look to the Rainforest of the Highlands and a soothing bath at the world famous Tabacon Hot Springs and Thermal Pools. Day 1 | Welcome to San Jose, Costa Rica!

Your EcoAmerica Tours representative will greet you at the airport, assist you with your luggage, and provide you with a private van transfer to the hotel of your choice (*) for an overnight night stay. Check-in is available after 2:00 PM.

Day 2 | San Jose / Tortuguero, the Flooded Forest of the Northeast Caribbean Coast | B.L.D.

Early morning guided departure on board a tour bus (shared with other guests). Enjoy a drive through the Braulio Carrillo National Park en-route to the Caribbean Lowlands of the Tortuguero National Park. Stop for breakfast before boarding a riverboat for a nature cruise of the Amazon like region of Costa Rica. Check-in at the Pachira Lodge (or best available at time of booking) for a two-night stay with all meals and lodge’s activity program. Visit the Tortuguero Village and the local Museum, or other activity as selected by your host. Balance of the day is spent relaxing by the pool or exploring the lodge’s estate on your own.

Day 3 | Exploring the waterways of Tortuguero | B.L.D.

After breakfast, join your guide for a nature cruise of the park’s creeks, rivers, and lagoons in search of exotic flora and fauna. Look for toucans, monkeys, turtles, herons, caimans, and iguanas. Enjoy an afternoon trail exploration. *$15.00 entrance fee to the National Park is not included and is payable on site. The order of the activities and/or features is subject to change by the lodge operator. Balance of the day is spent relaxing by the pool or exploring the lodge’s estate on your own.

Day 4 | Tortuguero / Arenal Volcano Park in the Tilaran Central Mountain Range | B.L.

After breakfast, you will share a boat transfer to the Marina in the mainland to connect with a share tour bus transfer to Guapiles Town; lunch included. After lunch, meet your private driver for a scenic ride through the lowlands of the San Carlos Valley en-route to the Arenal Volcano Park Area. Check-in at your choice of hotel (*) for a two-night stay in a volcano view room. Balance of the day is spent relaxing by the pool or exploring the grounds of your hotel.

Day 5 | Arenal Sky Walk Hanging Bridges / Tabacon Hot Springs | B.L.D.

After breakfast at the hotel, meet your driver from the Sky Park Adventure Center for a scenic ride to the Sky Park to partake on a guided Nature Hike on the Sky Walk (hanging bridges over the rainforest and through the tree canopy) and through the trails. Enjoy an unforgettable experience when you look to one side, see the tops of the trees, and at the same time feel the sensation of walking among the clouds. This experience offers a different observational perspective of the tropical forest, and it is a new alternative in nature lovers seeking a close up look of the Rainforest of the Highlands. Enjoy a typical lunch at the park before your transfer back to the hotel.

In the early evening, you will be provided with a short transfer to visit the world-famous Tabacon Hot Springs and Spa, the only hot springs in the Arenal Volcano area that is completely natural. Water flows by gravity throughout the property, forming in-river pools, waterfalls, and cascades and filling in the pools throughout the resort. As the underground Tabacon River flows through the magma in the volcano, the springs absorb minerals. Hot springs provide many benefits stemming from various chemical, physical and biological effects, the most notable is relaxing tense and tired muscles. While at Tabacon Hot Springs you will also enjoy a scrumptious buffet-dinner, the perfect treat to complete your visit to the Arenal Volcano National Park region. After dinner, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Day 6 | Arenal / Manuel Antonio Beach, the Rainforest by the Sea in the Mid-Pacific Coast | B.

After an early breakfast at the hotel, meet your local driver for a Semi-Private van ride to Quepos Village home to the Manuel Antonio Park. Check-in at your hotel for a three-night stay at the hotel of your choice (*). Balance of the day is at leisure enjoying the pool or the beach.
