Our family’s hacienda ranch covers 3,400 acres of pastureland, preserved dry tropical forest and our hotel grounds. We raise horses, cattle, pigs, chickens and turkeys, and grow a wide variety of fruit trees along with vegetables and herbs in our gardens, greenhouse and farmland. Most of the food you will enjoy in our hotel restaurant is produced on our ranch. In the mornings, you’ll see our cowboys and ranch hands milking our cows and working with our horses in the corrals by the Reception area. Know that your milk at breakfast is brought fresh to the kitchen daily. And one of the most popular activities at Hacienda Guachipelin is horseback riding on our sturdy Costa Rican horses.
