GALAPAGOS ISLANDS, ECUADOR
In Galapagos Islands: M/V Eclipse, one of the best small ships sailing in the Galapagos Islands, is an upscale expedition vessel that offers unparalleled levels of comfort and service. Large enough to travel the Pacific in comfort and safety, small enough to dock at remote ports and negotiate inter-island landings with agility. The Eclipse is the perfect size for an expedition-style adventure and the choice for travelers who prefer the intimate, comfortable atmosphere and attentive service of a smaller boutique vessel to a larger cruise ship.
The 26 spacious staterooms accommodate up to 48 passengers – just half the number usually found on a ship this size. This means that passengers can enjoy the generous accommodation of a larger vessel, while preserving the atmosphere and exclusivity of a smaller yacht. The cabins are extremely comfortable and attractive with simple decor, luxurious panels, furnished with Seike (a beautiful local wood), desks, large closets, windows or portholes overlooking the sea. The suites are located on the top deck, have a bathtub and a convertible sofa. Staterooms include an armchair and have a queen bed or two single beds. The double and single cabins are located on the main deck and contain two single beds or a queen bed. Exploring with a small group of like-minded fellow travelers, guests can experience unrivalled itineraries led by certified naturalist guide, one for every 12 passengers. The Eclipse has air conditioning, a 20 ft. pool, observation deck, entertainment room, library / video room, stereo, VCR and TV, al fresco style dining, and onboard store stocked with all the things you may have forgotten.
