In Puerto Varas: Hotel Boutique Casa Kalfu is the creation of architect Eladio Susaeta (PUCV), celebrating and embodying the local architectural tradition. Occupying an eclectic cluster of blue-painted buildings, this country-style boutique hotel is a 5-minute walk from Lake Llanquihue and a 14-minute walk from the German-inspired Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Hotel Casa Kalfu has 14 rooms each with central heating, 22” LCD TV with cable, safe, free Wi-Fi, quality linens, NDD and DDI, excellent thermal and acoustic insulation with thermal panels, hand-woven tapestries, wood-paneled walls, and spacious private bathrooms. The Hotel has 6 rooms overlooking Lake Llanquihue and the Osorno Volcano.

The hotel offers free Wi Fi free in the lobby, ground floor meeting space with a well-stocked bar and a comfortable lounge overlooking the lake, there is free on-site parking, and 24-hour reception.  There’s also a rustic bar serving drinks and snacks and a free breakfast buffet with regional pastries, a cozy lounge with a guest computer and a fireplace. Casa Kalfu is run by its friendly, English-speaking owners, Carmen García Cambiaso and Horacio Bovolo, who together have over 40 years of experience in the hotel industry. “Kalfu” means “blue” in the language of the Mapuche people who have inhabited the region for centuries.
