Zip Lining and ATV Countryside Adventure. This is one of the most popular tour combinations in Costa Rica, as you get to experience the Rainforest from a bird’s eye view and also go deep in the paths, trails, rivers, and lots of muddy roads in a transitional Costa Rica Rainforest, located only 10 minutes from Jaco Beach and Los Sueños Resort.
You will start with or famous Zip Line Tour in the Costa Rica Treetops, this tour includes a 15 minute tractor ride up to the top of the mountain; you will then descend on a series of 12 platforms and 10 cables, including one of the longest in Costa Rica’s Central Pacific.
After the Zip Line it’s time to get your adrenaline pumping on our 2 hour Jungle and River ATV adventure. This tour will give you a different perspective and views of the Jaco Beach area. Here we have it all: trails, mud, jungle, ocean views, rivers, and the best bilingual guides to make this an experience of a lifetime
ATV Countryside Adventure and Horseback Riding to the Waterfalls. You will first start with the 2 hour zip line at the canopy of the rainforest. This adventure includes a 15 minute tractor ride up to the top of the mountain; you will then descend on a series of 12 platforms and 10 cables, including one of the longest in Costa Rica’s Central Pacific.
After the Zip Line it’s time to get on some horses! We have the best kept horses in the area- and once you get geared up and paired with your best friend for the next hours, it’s time to head for the mountains. You will ride for about 45 minutes to the top of the mountain, and then hike down to the waterfalls and natural swimming pools. Your guide will have cold water for you. You will have about 30 minutes to enjoy swimming in a totally natural environment, before we return to base, where we will greet you with fresh tropical fruits.
Days 3, 4, 5 & 6 | These are full days at leisure at the beach | B.
Slow down, enjoy, and indulge in a great Costa Rica beach get-away, you are worth it! All we have planned is a half day morning visit to the Park for a close up natural encounter with abundant fauna and flora, plus your choice of one adventure with lunch included.
Manuel Antonio National Park Nature Walk. During your nature walk, you may want to stop and observe (or learn about) this natural and breathtaking habitat. Watch for sloths and numerous species of monkeys as they travel through the tree canopy, hunt for nocturnal silky anteaters and several types of non-poisonous snakes resting in the tropical rain forest, and listen to the songs of the various birds as they glide above your group, curiously looking for adventure. At the end of the visit, you will be driven back to your hotel or remain at the beach and provide your own way back to the hotel. Balance of the day is at leisure. Note: Park is closed on Mondays.
- Sea Kayak Coastal Paddle and Snorkeling Adventure | B.L.
The Manuel Antonio Coast is the arena for an easy pace paddling adventure. Enjoy the views and stop for refreshing swims. Paddle comfortably as a family, a couple, or an intimate group. Your kayak adventure stops at stunning Biesanz Bay for snorkeling and includes unbelievable nature spotting near Manuel Antonio’s world-class beaches. Some experience in open-seat kayaking and good physical condition is necessary for this open coastal water Kayak Tour. If you do not have experience, we can substitute the trip for a Mangrove Kayaking Adventure in calm estuary waters where the local fauna is abundant.
- Mangrove Kayaking Adventure at the Damas Island Estuary | B.L.
Experience the Damas Island Estuary and Mangrove ecosystem first hand in an open-seat kayak. Spend a few luxuriously indulgent hours paddling with the currents as your bilingual naturalist guides reveal the protected inland waterways of the Damas Estuary and mangrove habitat. Paddle comfortably as an intimate group under the shade of several tall species of mangroves, which grow only in select areas of the world and in Costa Rica. The pace of this adventure is determined by your abilities and interests, and the abundance of wildlife you want to stop and observe (or learn about) all in its natural and breathtaking habitat. Watch sloths and numerous species of monkeys travel through the tree canopy, hunt for nocturnal silky anteaters and several types of non-poisonous snakes resting in the mangroves, and listen to the songs of the various marine birds as they glide over your kayak curiously looking for adventure.
Important Note: If traveling with children, the kayak will be a double open seat.
- Savegre River Rafting Expedition Class III/IV | B. L.
Starting with a 4×4 ride into the “wilds” of Costa Rica’s tropical jungle with breathtaking scenery of more remote areas of the Savegre, your journey begins at “Silencio.” This is a little local village of thatched roof dwellings where you can enjoy a typical Tico breakfast after a “bumpy road” journey, yet before you paddle down the Savegre. Make sure you make your reservations for lunch, and don’t forget to meander through the beautiful flora and fauna of the surrounding African Palm Plantations before you head off into the winding mountains to start the rafting leg of your journey. The Savegre River provides Class II, III and IV rapids that are manageable in sturdy rafts that accommodate 2 to 6 people comfortably. Our guides stop at locally known swimming spots and breathtaking waterfalls, if the rafters want a break from paddling, and there is always time to enjoy the abundant variety of wildlife along the river. On most trips, rafters will observe egrets, osprey, toucans, parrots, kingfishers, cormorants, and many other species local to this protected area of the primary tropical rain forest. After a steady 13 mile trip down the river, we wind our way back to the little village of “Silencio” where a gladly awaited hot lunch “Tico Style” and local refreshments are waiting. Once fed, happy and well-traveled, our now experienced Savegre River rafters spend a leisurely trip home driving back to Manuel Antonio, to ponder on continuing a rafting experience on the Naranjo River or to savor the experiences of your day just past.
Note: At booking time, please choose the dates of your park visit and your selected adventure; once booked, no changes are allowed.
Day 7 | Manuel Antonio National Park / San Jose | B.
