This short vacation package by itself or in combination with another one or more of our short and designed to mix and match itineraries, will allow you to experience the best of Costa Rica your way, your pace, your budget.
Each one of our Mix & Match vacation packages feature: English speaking guides for all tours, transfers, sightseeing and excursions with entrance fees as listed in the itineraries, tour meals as indicated, hotel accommodations at listed hotels with taxes and daily breakfast.
DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY, FEATURES, AND PRICES
Day 1 | Welcome to San Jose, Costa Rica! Your EcoAmerica Tours representative will greet you at the airport, assist you with your luggage, and provide you with a private van transfer to the Wyndham Herradura hotel for an overnight night stay. Check-in is available after 2:00 PM.
Day 2 | The Tortuguero Flooded Forest of the Northeast Caribbean Coast. Early morning guided departure on board a tour bus (shared with other guests). Enjoy a drive through the Braulio Carrillo National Park en-route to the Caribbean Lowlands of the Tortuguero National Park. Stop for breakfast before boarding a riverboat for a nature cruise of the Amazon like region of Costa Rica. Check-in at the Laguna Lodge or best available for a two-night stay with all meals and lodge’s activity program included. Visit the Tortuguero Village and the local Museum, or other activity as selected by your host. Balance of the day is spent relaxing by the pool or exploring the lodge’s estate on your own | B.L.D
Day 3 | Exploring the waterways of Tortuguero. After breakfast, join your guide for a nature cruise of the park’s creeks, rivers, and lagoons in search of exotic flora and fauna. Look for toucans, monkeys, turtles, herons, caimans, and iguanas. Enjoy an afternoon trail exploration. *$15.00 entrance fee to the National Park is not included and is payable on site. The order of the activities and/or features is subject to change by the lodge operator. Balance of the day is spent relaxing by the pool or exploring the lodge’s estate on your own | B.L.D
Day 4 | Tortuguero / San Jose or Arenal Volcano Park in the Tilaran Central Mountain Range. After breakfast, you will share a boat transfer to the Marina in the mainland to connect with a share tour bus transfer to Guapiles Town; lunch included. After lunch, continue to San Jose on board the lodge’s tour bus; or be transferred to the Arenal Park on a share-a-van transfer for your next Mix & Match Eco Safari.
