EcoAmerica Tours put together a one of a kind trip for me that I took in June/July 2015. I traveled alone and I am a young female. I felt safe and had each day of my vacation planned out for me with a guide and a driver at minimal cost.
We toured the Doka coffee plantation and La Paz Waterfall gardens with Homer, and we were treated to way more than we could have imagined. Great knowledge of local flora, fauna, history, and a wonderful person overall. A wonderful day in the cloud forest!

Mr. and Mrs. Ray and Mr. Juliano recently returned from their Machu Picchu and Galapagos personal expedition. They very much enjoyed the personalized services your company planned for them; in fact we have other clients looking to do the same itinerary, we will keep you posted.
We would love to go back and see the rest of the country. Our tour guides were great, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Our drivers were great too, especially on the long 3 hours stretches, stopping at spots along the way to see nature and take photos. We loved our stays at all the hotels and local food. All-in-all we loved it and want to go back. My favorite was Monteverde and the little downtown area, Santa Elena.

Upon arrival in Lima, and after completing the standard immigration, luggage retrieval, and customs procedures, please proceed to the exit of the international terminal. Your driver will be waiting for you, holding a sign with your name(s), and will provide a private transfer to your hotel in the centrally located Miraflores district for a two-night stay at the Courtyard by Marriott, including breakfast.
At the designated time, meet your guide for the Lima City Tour & Larco Museum with Lunch, exploring the city’s modern and colonial highlights. Visit Larcomar overlooking the Pacific, the pre-Inca Pucllana Temple in Miraflores, El Olivar Park in San Isidro, and Lima’s historic downtown, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, including the Main Square and its iconic colonial landmarks.
Conclude at the Larco Museum, housed in an 18th-century mansion built atop a 7th-century pyramid, showcasing remarkable pre-Columbian art, gold and silver artifacts, open storage galleries, and its renowned Erotic Gallery.
Enjoy a culinary demonstration showcasing the rich flavors and traditions of Peruvian Creole cuisine. At the designated time, please proceed to the lobby of the hotel and meet your driver for a private transfer to Lima Airport for your domestic flight to Cusco (airfare not included). Upon arrival at Cusco Airport, enjoy a meet-and-greet service, followed by a transfer to the Sacred Valley of the Incas in the Urubamba region, including sightseeing at the Pisac Archaeological Site and Market en-route.
After the visit, enjoy a buffet lunch at La Hanka restaurant. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Check in at Sonesta Posada del Inca-Yucay Hotel for a two-night stay with daily breakfast included. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at the hotel.
Enjoy Chinchero, Maras, and Moray with Lunch, a full-day exploration of the Sacred Valley of the Incas with several stops en route.
Begin in Chinchero, a traditional Inca village with archaeological remains, a 17th-century church, and artisans preserving Inca traditions. Visit the Maras salt mines, where centuries-old terraces produce salt through an intricate system of channels and sun-evaporation. Continue to the circular agricultural terraces of Moray, thought to be an open-air Inca crop laboratory, showcasing advanced farming techniques.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. In the evening, meet your fellow travelers for dinner at the hotel.
After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to the train station to board the train to Aguas Calientes. Along the way, pass notable landmarks in the Sacred Valley, including the hanging bridge marking the start of the Inca Trail. The railway follows the Urubamba River (Vilcanota River), descending through a canyon to Aguas Calientes, the town at the base of Machu Picchu.
Upon arrival, board a minibus up the winding road to Machu Picchu for your Machu Picchu Guided Visit, exploring the Sacred Citadel of the Incas and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. After the tour, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
Then, board the train for a scenic one and a half hour journey back to Ollanta Train Station. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in Cusco and check in at Los Portales Cusco Hotel for a three-night stay.
At the designated time, enjoy Cusco City Tour & Sacsayhuaman Archaeological Park with Lunch, a half-day exploration of Cusco and its surrounding archaeological sites. Visit the impressive fortress of Sacsayhuamán, followed by Q’enqo, an ancient ceremonial site carved into the rock, and Tambomachay, known for its sacred fountains. Enjoy a panoramic view of Puca Pucara, once a watchtower guarding the entrance to Cusco.
In the city, visit Korikancha, the Temple of the Sun, and the Cusco Cathedral in the Main Square, home to remarkable colonial artwork. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before returning to your hotel.
Important Note: Visitors are not permitted to enter religious sites wearing shorts. Photography is not allowed inside the Cathedral.
Enjoy a relaxing day at leisure in Cusco, the historic heart of the Inca Empire. Take this time to rest or explore the city’s vibrant center, known for its rich culture, delicious cuisine, and fascinating history. Wander through cobblestone streets, visit local markets, or simply soak in the charm of this highland city as you prepare for your next adventure.
In the evening, reunite with your fellow travelers and expert guide for a farewell dinner. Toast to your incredible Peruvian journey and share final memories over a meal featuring regional cuisine.
At the designated time, prepare for a private transfer to Cusco Airport to check in for your flight back to Lima, where you will connect with your homebound flight. Alternatively, you may choose to continue your journey with a wonderful extension to Lake Titicaca or Puerto Maldonado in the southern Amazon.
