Day 2 | Lima Sightseeing Excursion | B.
This morning you will visit this vibrant city, strolling around the main streets, squares and avenues and enjoy the beautiful monuments. Your tour will start at Larcomar, the city’s most exclusive shopping center located in front of the Pacific Ocean, and will transfer you to the Pucllana Temple, a pre-Inca pyramid found in the Miraflores district, to mark a contrast. You will the visit the El Olivar Park, an ancient olive plantation, which is now part of the city, located in the San Isidro district, and from there you will be transferred to Lima’s historical downtown, a World Heritage listed by UNESCO. You will stop at the Main Square, located in front of the Presidential Palace, the Lima Municipality and the Archbishop’s Palace, beautiful colonial buildings that are an important part of its identity. A few blocks away, you will visit Santo Domingo Convent, one of the most impressive religious architectural complexes of the 17th century. It contains the relics of the three Peruvian saints, Santa Rosa de Lima, San Martin de Porres and San Juan Macías, and a library with a collection of 25 thousand old books. The visit will end up at your hotel, at Larcomar or at the Indian market. Visits to locations may vary.
Day 3 | Lima / Arequipa – Discover the White City | B.
Breakfast at the hotel followed by a transfer to the Lima airport to catch the departing flight to Arequipa (airfare is not included – we recommend booking a flight arriving to Arequipa on or before 11:00 am). On arrival, meet and greet service and transfer to the hotel of your choice for an overnight stay with breakfast included. The morning is at leisure to give you time to get accustomed the Andean altitude. During the afternoon, our tour of the White City will take you to visit the Main Square, the Cathedral, the Cloisters, the Compania de Jesus Church, the colonial district of Yanahuara, the San Lazaro neighborhood, the Chilina ravine and the residential area of Selva Alegre, and the Santa Catalina Monastery which was closed for almost 400 years and now captivates all visitors with its narrow passages, plazas and gardens inspired by the ancient neighborhoods of Seville and Granada, Spain.

Day 4 | Arequipa to Colca Valley / Sightseeing en-route | B.L.
After breakfast, we set off to the spectacular Colca Valley going up the foothills of Chachani volcano and admiring the Misti and Picchu Picchu Volcanoes. Then we cross the vicunas (the finest relative of the llamas) reservation of Pampa Canahuas where we can see them running free in the high Andean lands. Interesting panoramas of villages and scenic landscape is all around. Stop for lunch on our way to the lodge. Free afternoon to rest and enjoy the lodge or an optional visit to the thermal baths in the area. We will stay overnight in the Colca Valley at the hotel of your choice with breakfast included.

Day 5 | Colca Canyon and the Amazing Flight of the Condor / Colca to Puno-Lake Titicaca | B.L.
Early in the morning we will go to the Condor Cross viewpoint to admire the magnificent flight of the condors. The Andean Condor is the symbol of the Andes Mountain Range and is a species on the brink of extinction. The view at this place allows us to appreciate the canyons depth, considered as one of the deepest in the world (twice the depth of the Grand Canyon). We will then visit the Maca and Yanque towns which still keep their colonial churches. After lunch, we will continue with the expedition with a scenic drive to the lake side city of Puno for a two-night stay at the hotel of your choice with breakfast included.

Day 6 | Boat Expedition of Lake Titicaca, the Uros Floating Islands and the ancestral Island of Taquile | B.L.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the pier to board a touring boat for a full day exploration of Lake Titicaca. First we will visit the Uros; the friendly inhabitants of these handmade floating islands made of totora reeds. Then it’s off to Taquile Island; a place in which the settlers still maintain their ancestral traditions and colorful typical clothes. There is a great opportunity to explore the island and get the best view of the lake. A typical lunch is provided in the Island. Return to the city in the afternoon.
Day 7 | Puno / Cusco, a Journey through the Andes | B.L.
You will depart on a tour bus to Cusco. En-route, we will stop to visit the Pucara Museum, and Racchi, the Temple of Wiracocha where the walls and narrow streets stand out. At lunch time we have the opportunity to see the view at La Raya, the natural border between Puno and Cusco. Before our final destination, we will stop at Andahuaylillas for a visit to its beautiful chapel. We will arrive in Cusco by the end of the afternoon for a three-night stay at the hotel of your choice with breakfast included.

Day 8 | Discover the ancient city of Cusco | B.
Morning is at leisure to enjoy Cusco at your own pace. In the afternoon partake on a guided excursion of Cusco. You will start your tour visiting the Coricancha, also known as “The Temple of the Sun” (Quri Kancha ‘Golden Temple’), which was built by the Inca Pachacutec and at the arrival of the Spaniards became the basis for the construction of the Santo Domingo Convent. Here, during the Inca Empire reverence was surrendered to the sun (“Inti”), and there was a time when it was covered with gold. Then visit the Cathedral, the most imposing monument in the Plaza de Armas. Its construction began in 1560 and ended only in 1654. For this purpose hundreds of stones were extracted and transported from Sacsayhuaman fortress under the command of the Ecclesiastical Council.
You will continue your tour to the fortress of Sacsayhuaman, one of the most emblematic buildings of the Incas (located just minutes from town center) built by the Inca Pachacutec in the fifteenth century. This is a huge fortress built with large stones whose transportation remains still a mystery. Each June 24th, during the winter solstice, the feast of Inti Raymi is recreated here, where the sun is worshipped. Continue to Quenqo, located 4 kilometers from the city of Cusco. Quenqo is an archaeological complex of mainly religious use where it is believed agricultural rituals were performed. Finally get to know Puka Pucara, located 7 kilometers from the city of Cusco. Puka Pucara, which means “Red Fortress”, was an architectural complex of alleged military use with multiple spaces, plazas, baths, aqueducts, walls and towers, and it is believed the entourage of the Inca used it while he rested in Tambomachay. Return to the hotel.
Important Note: People are not allowed to enter religious sites wearing shorts. Taking photos is not allowed inside the Cathedral.

Day 10 | Cusco / the Sacred Valley for an overnight stay | B.L.
During the morning, you are picked up from your hotel in Cusco to visit the town of Chinchero*, a traditional Cusco urban center located at an elevated point with a beautiful view of the valley. The inhabitants of this area preserve the artisan traditions and the inherited knowledge of the Incas and display them in their clothes and customs. In Chinchero there are also archaeological remains and a beautiful seventeenth-century church, one of the first Catholic buildings in Peru. Then, you are transferred to the Living Museum of Yucay. The museum is a center Andean traditions interpretations, where demonstrations of the elaboration of textile work, adobe, pottery and silverware are carried out in the same way in which they used to in antiquity; an original recreation of Inca traditions. Also, residents of the museum include llamas, sheep and alpacas, and they can be fed! Transfer to Ollantaytambo where you have free time for lunch. After this, visit the town and local archaeological site, inhabited uninterruptedly since Inca times, and climb the iconic fortress, built next to a mountain. At the end of this activity, you are transferred to your hotel. Overnight stay in the Sacred Valley at the hotel of your choice with breakfast included. * Visits on Sundays include a tour to the Chinchero market.

Day 11 | The Sacred Valley / Machu Picchu / Cusco | B.L.
Board your selected train at the local station for a scenic ride to the Aguas Calientes station, where you will meet your local guide and begin your visit of one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Your shuttle bus ride up the winding road to Machu Picchu offers spectacular views of the Urubamba River and its canyon. The Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, will astonish us with its terraces, ceremonial shrines, steps and urban areas. Energy is all around us. After a guided visit, we will have time to explore the fortress and have lunch at El Mapi restaurant. At the arranged time, we will take the train/ van back to Cusco to be transferred to the hotel of your choice for an overnight stay with breakfast included.

In the Sacred Valley: Aranwa Resort and Wellness Center is located along the Río Vilcanota River on the grounds of a 17th-century hacienda. This sprawling spa hotel is 10 km from both Plaza de Armas and the exhibits at Museo Inkariy. The hotel is known for its eclectic combinations of service, amenities and culinary masterpieces. The rooms overlook lush gardens of local flora and the distant mountains. Each room offers a safe, flat-screen TV, iPod dock and free Wi-Fi, plus Jacuzzi bathtub. There’s also room service.
