Colca, Peru: Colca Canyon and the Majestic Flight of the Condor. After an early breakfast at the hotel, meet your guide for a visit to the Condor Cross viewpoint, where you’ll have the chance to admire the magnificent flight of the Andean condors. The Andean condor, a symbol of the Andes Mountains, is a majestic bird now on the brink of extinction.
From this viewpoint, you can also take in breathtaking views of the Colca Canyon, considered one of the deepest in the world, reaching depths nearly twice that of the Grand Canyon.
We will then visit the traditional towns of Maca and Yanque, both of which preserve their beautiful colonial churches. After lunch, we continue our journey with a scenic drive to the lakeside city of Puno, located on the shores of Lake Titicaca.
