Begin your journey at Ana Kai Tangata, a coastal cave adorned with ancient paintings of the Manutara (sea swallows), deeply tied to the island’s Birdman mythology. Continue to Vinapu, an intriguing archaeological site where perfectly fitted basalt stonework evokes the craftsmanship of Inca civilization.

Next, ascend to the edge of Rano Kau, one of the island’s most spectacular natural features. This extinct volcano houses a massive crater lake, dotted with floating reed islets and surrounded by lush vegetation and rare microfauna, a stunning contrast to the surrounding arid landscapes.

The final stop is Orongo, a restored ceremonial village perched above the Pacific Ocean. Once the center of the Birdman cult, Orongo was where an intense annual competition determined the new spiritual and political leader of the island.
