Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica: Savegre Whitewater River Rafting Expedition with Lunch. This adventurous, family-friendly, full-day trip is a unique white water river rafting adventure with lots of perks. Our world-class, internationally-trained, bilingual guides and safety kayakers will expertly guide and teach you how to navigate through this exciting river experience. You and your fellow rafters, together with your guide will work as a team and build your way up to a breathtaking adventure – teamwork makes the dream work right.Â
Your expedition begins when your driver picks you up in the lobby of the hotel followed with a 4×4 ride into the tropical jungle of Costa Rica with awe-inspiring scenery of the more remote areas of the Savegre River.Â
The Savegre River provides Class II, III, and IV rapids that are manageable in sturdy rafts that accommodate 2 to 6 people comfortably. Our guides know the river in and out, so they will, at some points, give you the chance to jump in the water if you want to and just float down the river. Along the way, you will make a stop by a magnificent and powerful waterfall, where your energy will be replenished with fresh, tropical fruits.
Along the river rafters will observe egrets, osprey, toucans, parrots, king mackerels, cormorants, and many other species local to this protected area of the primary tropical rainforest. After a 13 mile trip rafting down the river, we come to the finish line and return to the starting point where a well-deserved typical lunch will be waiting for you. After lunch, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
