Santa Marta, Colombia: Tayrona National Park and Playa Cristal Day Excursion. Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. At the appropriate time, one of our local representatives will meet you at the hotel to begin today’s activity program: a private guided tour of Tayrona National Natural Park.
You will pass through the city center and follow the Caribbean Highway. In the area known as “Palangana,” the route detours through the second entrance of Tayrona National Natural Park. The drive continues for approximately 15 minutes until reaching the official park entrance, where there will be a brief stop to purchase your entrance ticket to the park.
The journey then continues by vehicle to the viewpoint of Playa Siete Olas (Seven Waves Beach). Along the way, you will pass through tropical dry forest landscapes filled with cacti and shrubs, and with a bit of luck, you may spot local birds or mammals commonly found in the area. At the viewpoint, enjoy the scenic beauty and take time for photos. From there, a 10-minute drive takes you to Neguanje Bay, where you will board a boat for a short 10-minute ride to Playa Cristal.
Enjoy free time to swim, relax, or snorkel (equipment not included). Playa Cristal is known for its beautiful coral reefs and colorful marine life. Afterward, return by vehicle to Santa Marta, Taganga, or El Rodadero.
