Ushuaia, Argentina: Tierra del Fuego & Bahia Lapataia Excursion. Today, you’ll set off on a 4-hour tour through one of the most important protected areas in Argentina, the only one by the sea. We’ll leave the city center, traveling through beautiful coastal landscapes. After soaking in the views of glacier valleys, we’ll make a stop at the Fuegian Southern Railway station. Here, you can hop aboard the famous End of the World Train for a unique ride through Tierra del Fuego National Park. The train’s name comes from Ushuaia being the southernmost city in the world, and you’ll get incredible views of the Pipo River, Mounts Olivia and Cinco Hermanos, and Lapataia Bay, the official end of National Route 3, the southernmost point in Argentina you can reach by car.
Once we reach the park, the tour around the highlights begins. At Bahia Ensenada, you’ll spot the ‘Concheros Antropogenicos’, evidence of ancient native settlements dating back around 6,500 years. We’ll then head to Roca Lake, where you’ll get a great view of the geography of Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego. After walking through the park, you’ll have some free time to relax and enjoy a visit to “Casita del Bosque”, a cozy coffee shop by the Lapataia River.
Discover the untamed beauty of Tierra del Fuego National Park on this unforgettable excursion, where glacier valleys, ancient settlements, and breathtaking coastal landscapes lead you to the very edge of the world.
