Day 1 | Sunday | Welcome to Baltra | L.D.

AM: Arrival at Baltra Airport
You will arrive at Baltra Island in the morning. After passing through immigration and collecting your luggage, a Galapagos Angel staff member will meet you and escort you to the yacht. Once on board, you’ll be shown to your cabin and have some time to settle in before enjoying lunch and a welcome briefing.

PM: Bachas Beach
Bachas Beach, located on the north shore of Santa Cruz Island, is a beautiful spot for swimming and wildlife observation. One of the few visible remnants of the U.S. presence during World War II is a floating pier that can still be seen here. The area is home to a variety of wildlife, including flamingos, Sally Lightfoot crabs, hermit crabs, black-necked stilts, and whimbrels. Sea turtles also use the beach as a nesting site.

Day 2 | Monday | B.L.D.

AM: Dragon Hill
Located on Santa Cruz Island, Dragon Hill is one of the newest visitor sites open to tourists in the Galapagos Islands. A relatively long walking trail takes visitors from the beach up to a scenic lagoon lookout, where bright flamingos, pintail ducks, and land iguanas are often seen.

PM: Pinnacle Rock
You will visit Bartholomew Island, home to the iconic Pinnacle Rock. The island is an extinct volcano featuring a variety of red, orange, black, and even green volcanic formations. A staircase trail leads to the summit, which takes about 30 to 40 minutes to climb, and rewards you with one of the most breathtaking views in the Galapagos. Below, a beautiful beach surrounded by sparse vegetation offers excellent snorkeling opportunities, where you may even swim alongside Galapagos penguins.

Day 3 | Tuesday | B.L.D.

AM: Vicente Roca Point
Comprised of two separate coves, Vicente Roca Point is a large bay teeming with spectacular marine life. While snorkeling, keep an eye out for seahorses, sea turtles, and the strange yet fascinating Mola mola, also known as the sunfish.

PM: Espinoza Point
After crossing the Bolivar Channel, which separates Isabela and Fernandina Islands, you will land at Espinoza Point. A short walk past a colony of marine iguanas and a group of sea lions leads you to the island’s highlight: the nesting site of the rare flightless cormorant. This area also offers a great opportunity to spot the Galapagos hawk.

Day 4 | Wednesday | B.L.D.

AM: Tagus Cove
You will visit Tagus Cove on Isabela Island, located across from Fernandina Island near the Bolivar Channel that separates the two. This site has been frequented by ships since the 1800s, often used as a sheltered anchorage. A trail winds past Lake Darwin and leads up to a ridge offering spectacular views of the surrounding landscape.

PM: Elizabeth Bay
Elizabeth Bay is located on the east coast of Isabela Island and is surrounded by numerous small islets, which are explored by dinghy. Penguins and blue-footed boobies can often be seen on the rocky shores. With its abundance of marine life and clear waters, the bay is ideal for snorkeling and offers the chance to see colorful schools of fish, sea lions, and even sharks.

Day 5 | Thursday | B.L.D.

AM: Urbina Bay
Urbina Bay is located at the base of Alcedo Volcano on the west coast of Isabela Island, between Tagus Cove and Elizabeth Bay. A major uplift occurred here in 1954, causing the land to rise over 16 feet. As a result, the coastline expanded by half a mile, leaving marine life stranded on the newly formed shore. This area is also an excellent spot for snorkeling.

PM: Moreno Point
Moreno Point is located southwest of Elizabeth Bay. Here, a dry landing onto ancient lava flows is possible. The lava has created craters that have formed crystal-clear tide pools. Peering into these pools, you can glimpse a vibrant underwater world as marine life drifts by. In the brackish waters of this area, you might spot pink flamingos, white-cheeked pintails, and common gallinules. With careful observation, you may also see white-tip reef sharks and sea turtles swimming below the surface.

Day 6 | Friday | B.L.D.

AM: Sierra Negra Volcano
Visit Sierra Negra Volcano, home to the largest basaltic caldera in the Galapagos, measuring 6.2 miles (10 km) in diameter. The site offers impressive views and the chance to observe up to seven species of finches amid a rich variety of vegetation. The north side of the caldera shows evidence of its most recent volcanic activity, which occurred in 2005.

PM: Arnaldo Tupiza Breeding Center
The Arnaldo Tupiza Breeding Center is located about one mile (1.5 km) from Puerto Villamil. Here, tortoise populations from South Isabela, Sierra Negra Volcano, Cerro Azul, Cazuela, Cinco Cerros, Roca Union, San Pedro, Tables, and Cerro Paloma are bred in captivity. The center currently houses a total of 330 juvenile and adult tortoises.

Day 7 | Saturday | B.L.D.

AM: Devil’s Crown
You will have the chance to snorkel around Devil’s Crown, the rocky remains of an offshore volcano rising above the water. This site is an excellent spot to observe a wide variety of marine life.

Afterwards: Cormorant Point
Cormorant Point features a large flamingo lagoon where other birds, such as common stilts and white-cheeked pintails, can also be seen. The island’s beaches are unique: Green Beach gets its name from the green color of its sand, which comes from a high concentration of olivine crystals, while Flour Sand Beach is composed of white coral sand.

PM: Post Office Bay
You will land on a beach and visit a spot where 18th-century whalers placed a wooden barrel that served as an unofficial mailbox. This charming tradition continues today with Galapagos visitors. So, don’t forget your postcards, and don’t be surprised if your postcard arrives at its destination before you even get home!

Day 8 | Tuesday | Baltra / Home / Next Destination | B.

AM: Mosquera Islet
Mosquera Islet is located between Baltra and North Seymour islands. This reef of rocks and coral, formed by geological uplift, is only 160 meters wide at its narrowest point. The islet hosts one of the largest populations of sea lions and is home to many shorebirds. There have also been occasional reports of orcas hunting sea lions in this area.

After your final visit, you will be transferred to Baltra Airport in time for your flight back to the mainland.
