I want you to know that we arrived safely back to the US. Thank you for all of your help with our changes due to the hurricane. We very much enjoyed Manuel Antonio and Arenal and are sorry that we missed Monteverde. Our guide, Homer, was terrific and we really enjoyed his knowledge and camaraderie.
We toured the Doka coffee plantation and La Paz Waterfall gardens with Homer, and we were treated to way more than we could have imagined. Great knowledge of local flora, fauna, history, and a wonderful person overall. A wonderful day in the cloud forest!

Explore the heart of Costa Rica. Journey from rainforest trails to ocean breezes.
Enjoy Costa Rica while visiting some of its most popular parks and reserves, from the highland rainforest of Arenal to the cloud forest of Monteverde and the wildlife reserve in Cano Negro. Unwind with a soothing swim in the thermal pools of EcoTermales Spa, and top off your Costa Rica vacation with a relaxing stay at Tamarindo Beach.
In San Jose or Liberia
Upon arrival at either the Liberia or San Jose airport, you will be greeted by your EcoAmerica Tours representative, who will assist with your luggage and provide a private van transfer to the highland rainforest of Arenal Park. There, you will enjoy a three-night stay in volcano-view accommodations at the Magic Mountain Hotel (*), with breakfast and taxes included. Check-in is available after 2:00 PM. The remainder of the day is at your leisure to relax and enjoy the hotel’s facilities. Daytime arrival is recommended.
Today, your local guide will escort you on a full-day land and water expedition in the Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge. Return to the hotel after lunch.
Spend the morning at leisure enjoying the hotel grounds. In the afternoon, meet your local guide and begin today’s activity: Arenal Volcano National Park Nature Walk. Afterwards, relax in the thermal hot springs and pools at the EcoTermales Thermal Pools.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a scenic 3 to 3.5-hour shared van transfer to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Private Reserve. Upon arrival, check in at the El Establo Hotel (*) for an overnight stay in a deluxe room, with breakfast and taxes included. The remainder of the day is at your leisure, ideal for exploring the quaint town of Santa Elena on your own.
Enjoy an early breakfast at the hotel before setting off for today’s adventure at Selvatura Park Tree-Top Canopy Zip Line & Suspension Bridges.
At the appropriate time, a local driver will provide a private transfer to Tamarindo Beach, where you will enjoy a three-night stay in a poolside family room at the Tamarindo Diria Hotel (*), with breakfast and taxes included.
Enjoy the beach at your own pace, explore the countryside, visit nearby beaches and villages, or simply relax by the hotel pool.
At the designated time, one of our local drivers will provide you with a private transfer to the Liberia airport to check-in for your onward flight.
(*) Listed hotels are subject to availability at the time of booking; if they are not available, similar hotels in category and price range will be offered. Triple Occupancy share existing beds. Children policy: Maximum two children up to 11 year old sharing the same room and bedding arrangements with two adults. Maximum occupancy per room shared with existing beds: two adults and two children OR 3 adults and one child. Prices are subject to change without previous notice.
