Designed for just 16 guests, this intimate cruise offers spacious cabins with private balconies, a sun-drenched deck and jacuzzi, and knowledgeable bilingual naturalists guiding every step. You will traverse dramatic lava landscapes, remote wildlife havens, and vibrant marine habitats while enjoying daily snorkeling, kayaking, and scenic hikes.
During this itinerary, you will visit Santiago at Sullivan Bay, known for its surreal lava formations. On Isabela Island, you will explore several sites including Vicente Roca Point, Tagus Cove, Urbina Bay, Elizabeth Bay, and Moreno Point, each offering remarkable opportunities for wildlife encounters and geological exploration. At Fernandina, Espinosa Point reveals colonies of marine iguanas, flightless cormorants, and Galapagos penguins. Finally, you will visit Santa Cruz Island to explore the Fausto Llerena Tortoise Breeding Center and learn about conservation efforts to protect the iconic giant tortoises.

In Baltra
AM: Arrival at Baltra Airport
Morning flight from Quito or Guayaquil to Baltra, in the Galapagos Islands. Upon arrival at Baltra Island, you will go through immigration and baggage claim before being met by a Horizon staff member and transferred to the yacht. After boarding, you will be shown to your cabin, with time to settle in before lunch and a welcome briefing.
PM: Sullivan Bay
You will visit Sullivan Bay, located on the southeastern coast of Santiago Island. This site is especially notable for its fascinating geology, featuring extensive lava flows and small volcanic cones formed by past eruptions.
AM: Vicente Roca Point
Comprised of two separate coves, Vicente Roca Point is a large bay known for its spectacular marine life. While snorkeling, keep an eye out for seahorses, sea turtles, and the strange yet fascinating Mola mola, or sunfish.
PM: Espinoza Point
After crossing the Bolivar Channel, which separates Isabela and Fernandina Islands, you will land at Espinoza Point. As you walk past a colony of marine iguanas and a group of sea lions, you will arrive at one of the island’s highlights: the nesting site of the flightless cormorant. This area also offers an excellent opportunity to spot the Galapagos hawk.
AM: Tagus Cove
You will visit Tagus Cove on Isabela Island, located across from Fernandina Island near the Bolivar Channel. This historic site has been used as an anchorage since the 1800s. Trails lead past Lake Darwin and up to a ridge, offering beautiful panoramic views along the way.
PM: Urbina Bay
Urbina Bay is located at the base of Alcedo Volcano on the western coast of Isabela Island, between Tagus Cove and Elizabeth Bay. In 1954, a major geological uplift caused the land to rise over 16 feet, expanding the shoreline by half a mile and leaving marine life stranded on the new coast. Today, the area is also an excellent spot for snorkeling.
AM: Elizabeth Bay
Elizabeth Bay is located on the east coast of Isabela Island. The bay contains numerous islets that can be explored by dinghy. Penguins and blue-footed boobies are often seen on the rocky islets. With its abundance of marine life and clear waters, the area is ideal for snorkeling and spotting schools of colorful fish, sea lions, and even sharks.
PM: Moreno Point
Moreno Point is located southwest of Elizabeth Bay. Here, a dry landing onto what was once flowing lava is possible. The lava has left behind craters that have formed crystal-clear tide pools. Peering into these pools, you can glimpse a vibrant underwater world as marine life drifts by. In the brackish waters, you may spot pink flamingos, white-cheeked pintails, and common gallinules. With careful observation, you might also see white-tip reef sharks and sea turtles swimming in the pools.
AM: Fausto Llerena Breeding Center
You will visit the Fausto Llerena Tortoise Breeding Center in Puerto Ayora, where giant tortoises are bred in captivity. The center is home to tortoises ranging from tiny hatchlings measuring just 3 inches to adults up to 4 feet long. Different subspecies of giant tortoises interact with one another here, and many of the older tortoises are accustomed to humans, often stretching out their heads for photo opportunities. The young tortoises are kept at the center until they are about four years old and strong enough to survive on their own.
After this final visit, you will be transferred to Baltra airport in time for your flight back to the mainland.
