In Lima
Upon arrival in Lima, enjoy a personalized meet-and-greet service at the airport, followed by a private transfer to the hotel of your choice for a two-night stay with breakfast included. Let your Machu Picchu and Amazon expedition begin!
Accommodation Options:
After breakfast, your guide will meet you at your hotel for the Lima City Tour & Larco Museum experience. Explore Lima’s Historic Center with visits to the Aliaga House, one of the oldest colonial residences in the Americas, and Plaza Mayor, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, including the Lima Cathedral. Conclude the day at the Larco Museum in Pueblo Libre, where you will discover over 5,000 years of ancient Peruvian history through an outstanding collection of pre-Hispanic gold, silver, and erotic art.
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Cusco (airfare not included; arrival recommended by 11:00 AM). Upon arrival, meet and greet service at the airport and transfer to your hotel for a two-night stay with breakfast.
Accommodation Options:
In the afternoon, enjoy a private Cusco City Tour & Sacsayhuaman Archaeological Park, including visits to the Santo Domingo Convent (Koricancha), Cusco Cathedral, and nearby Inca sites such as Qenqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay.
Return to your hotel at the end of the day.
Important Note: Visitors are not permitted to enter religious sites wearing shorts. Photography is not allowed inside the Cathedral.
After breakfast, transfer to the train station and board the train to Aguas Calientes, passing landmarks of the Sacred Valley along the way. Upon arrival, take the mini bus to Machu Picchu for a Machu Picchu Guided Visit, exploring the terraces, ceremonial areas, and urban sections of the citadel. Enjoy lunch in the area before returning to Cusco by train and van, with late afternoon arrival and transfer to your hotel.
Important Note: Remember to confirm your reservation as soon as possible to proceed with the purchase of tickets in advance due to the limited capacity of the citadel. The specific circuit to visit Machu Picchu and schedule will be selected according to availability at the time of reservation confirmation.

We begin our Family Adventure at Posada Amazonas Lodge – Day 1. Explore the schedule for details on meals, transfers, and the surrounding habitat.

The day begins early with a climb up the 40-meter observation tower during the Family Adventure at Posada Amazonas Lodge – Day 2, watching the jungle wake as parrots, toucans, and macaws fill the sky with color and sound. After breakfast, visit the parrot clay lick, where dozens of birds gather on mineral-rich clay.
In the afternoon, a rainforest walk leads to the majestic Great Ceiba, where guides share Amazonian tales, inspiring children and adults while highlighting the importance of protecting nature.
Today, enjoy a Family Adventure at Posada Amazonas Lodge – Day 3, embarking on a thrilling search for the Amazon’s true treasure: its wildlife. Explore Tres Chimbadas Lake by boat and canoe, spotting giant river otters, caimans, turtles, and exotic birds. In the afternoon, enjoy a sunset cruise with an Amazonian toast as the jungle lights up in golden hues. After dinner, young explorers can join the Wired Amazon: Discovering New Species program, examining samples with biologists in search of insects and creatures potentially new to science.
After breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye to the Amazon, carrying with you the memories of a journey that has left a lasting impression on every family member. Children will return home with incredible stories, new insights into nature, and a deeper connection to the planet. Family travel in Peru is not just an adventure; it is an opportunity to teach the youngest explorers the importance of caring for our world.
