In San Jose
Your EcoAmerica Tours representative will greet you upon arrival at San Jose International Airport, assist with your luggage, and provide a private van transfer to the DoubleTree Cariari Hotel by Hilton for an overnight stay. Breakfast and taxes are included. Check-in is available after 2:00 PM. The remainder of the day is at your leisure to enjoy the hotel’s facilities.
After breakfast, meet your private guide for a scenic transfer to Arenal, with stops at two of Costa Rica’s most fascinating attractions: The Doka Coffee Plantation and the stunning La Paz Waterfall Gardens, featuring nature walkways, a butterfly garden, hummingbird gallery, and bird house. A delicious buffet lunch is included at La Paz. After lunch, continue on to Arenal for a two-night stay in a Junior Suite at the Arenal Springs Resort, with breakfast included. The remainder of the day is at your leisure.
After an early breakfast at your hotel, meet your guide for a transfer to the dock in the town of Los Chiles, where you’ll board a riverboat for a fantastic encounter with nature:
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, followed by a scenic 3 to 3½-hour private van transfer to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Private Reserve. Check in at El Establo Hotel for an overnight stay in a deluxe room, with breakfast and taxes included. In the evening, experience Monteverde’s wildlife at sunset—watch as diurnal animals settle in and nocturnal creatures come to life. You may spot elusive species such as sloths, coatis, and porcupines.
Today, your local host will meet you for a guided visit to the Private Cloud Forest Reserve. At the end of your exploration, you’ll be driven back to your hotel to collect your luggage and continue with a scenic private drive down to the tropical lowlands of the Mid-Pacific. Upon arrival at the beach, check in at the Costa Verde Hotel. Hotel in Manuel Antonio for a three-night stay in a Studio Plus room, with breakfast and taxes included.
Enjoy an early breakfast at the hotel, then set out on a guided visit to Manuel Antonio National Park Nature Walk.
Important Note: The guided visit lasts approximately two hours. You may want to stay in the park to continue exploring at your own pace and enjoy unspoiled, un-crowded, pristine beaches. If you opt to stay in the park on your own, you will provide your own transportation back to your hotel. Balance of the day is at leisure. The Park is closed on Mondays.
Enjoy the beach at your own pace, venture into the countryside, visit the nearby village of Quepos, or simply relax by the hotel pool.
At the appropriate time, departure transfer from Manuel Antonio to the Quepos airstrip for a 30-minute panoramic flight (airfare included- 30 Lbs. luggage allowance) to the San Jose International Airport to connect with your onward flight.
Important Note: If your flight out of San Jose is in the early morning, it may be necessary to spend an extra night at a hotel near the San Jose airport; an extra charge will apply.
