We toured the Doka coffee plantation and La Paz Waterfall gardens with Homer, and we were treated to way more than we could have imagined. Great knowledge of local flora, fauna, history, and a wonderful person overall. A wonderful day in the cloud forest!

This 12-day vacation package, The Wonders of Peru, is the adventure of a lifetime, taking you through some of the country’s most iconic destinations, including Machu Picchu, the Colca Canyon, Lake Titicaca, Cusco, and the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
In Lima
Meet-and-greet service at the airport, followed by a comfortable van transfer to the hotel of your choice for a two-night stay with breakfast included.
Accommodation Options:
Your guide will meet you at your hotel for the Lima City Tour & Larco Museum, visiting the Aliaga House, Plaza Mayor and Lima Cathedral, and exploring the museum’s collection of pre-Hispanic artifacts. At the end of the tour, you will be taken back to your hotel.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before transferring to Lima airport for your departing flight to Arequipa (airfare not included – we recommend booking a flight that arrives in Arequipa by 11:00 AM or earlier).
Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your selected hotel for an overnight stay with breakfast included. The morning is at leisure to adjust to the Andean altitude, followed by an Arequipa City Tour in the afternoon.

Important Note: Dress code for visiting churches: pants, long shorts, or skirts that cover the knees; otherwise, entry will not be allowed.
Early in the morning, you are picked up from your hotel for the trip to Chivay, traveling through the Aguada Blanca National Reserve in Pampa Cañahuas, where vicuñas roam freely. Stop briefly in Patahuasi to taste local infusions and use restroom facilities, then continue through Viscachani and the Toccra wetlands, home to alpacas, vicuñas, and migratory birds. Arrive at Patapampa, the Andes Viewpoint (4,910 m), for panoramic views of the volcanic range, then descend to Chivay (3,635 m) around midday.
After lunch, you will be transferred to your hotel. If staying in Chivay, enjoy the La Calera thermal pools in the afternoon, with the evening at leisure for dinner on your own.
Accommodation options:
Early in the morning, your driver picks you up to begin the journey. The first stop is Yanque’s main square, followed by a visit to Colca Canyon and the Majestic Flight of the Condor to admire the magnificent flight of the Andean condors.
On the return, stop at scenic viewpoints before arriving in Maca, then enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Chivay. After lunch, depart for Puno (approx. 5½ hours), with a brief stop in Patahuasi for restroom facilities and at the Lagunillas viewpoint to see migratory birds, including flamingos. Upon arrival in Puno, transfer to your hotel.
Accommodation options:
After breakfast at your hotel, embark on the Lake Titicaca Exploration by Boat with Lunch, a full-day semi-private excursion on the stunning Lake Titicaca, the world’s highest navigable lake. Visit the fascinating Uros Islands, home to an ancestral society living on floating islands made of totora reeds. Continue to Taquile Island, where you will learn about local traditions and culture. After a magical day exploring these unique communities and enjoying the lake’s breathtaking scenery, savor a delicious lunch before returning to Puno.
Important Note: This service is semi-private, conducted on a shared boat with other passengers but accompanied by a private guide.
Embark on a full-day Andean Crossing to Cusco by Bus with Lunch, a scenic journey through the breathtaking landscapes of the Andes. Along the way, make several stops to explore fascinating cultural and historical sites, including the Pucará archaeological complex, the Temple of Wiracocha in Raqchi, and the charming town of Andahuaylillas, renowned for its church, often called the “Sistine Chapel of America” for its stunning artwork. Enjoy a delicious lunch en route while taking in the dramatic mountain scenery and learning about the region’s history and local traditions.
By late afternoon, arrive in Cusco and check in at your hotel for a three-night stay with breakfast included, giving you time to rest and prepare for your upcoming adventures in the heart of the Inca Empire.

Important Note: Due to the shared nature of this service, the pickup window is 30 minutes from the scheduled start time.
Enjoy the Cusco City Tour & Sacsayhuaman Archaeological Park, exploring the historic city of Cusco, once the capital of the Inca Empire. Begin at the Santo Domingo Convent, built on the foundations of the Koricancha Temple, and continue to the Cathedral Basilica in the Main Square, home to remarkable colonial art, golden altarpieces, and paintings from the Cusco School. Then visit the nearby archaeological sites of Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay before returning to your hotel.
Important Note: Visitors are not permitted to enter religious sites wearing shorts. Photography is not allowed inside the Cathedral.
Enjoy a relaxing day at leisure in Cusco, the historic heart of the Inca Empire. Take this time to rest or explore the city’s vibrant center, known for its rich culture, delicious cuisine, and fascinating history. Wander through cobblestone streets, visit local markets, or simply soak in the charm of this highland city as you prepare for your next adventure.
After breakfast at the hotel, meet your guide in the lobby for Chinchero, Yucay Living Museum, and Ollantaytambo Fortress with Lunch, a guided exploration of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
Begin in the picturesque village of Chinchero, where you will explore archaeological remains and a 17th-century church while learning about local artisan traditions still preserved today. Continue to Ollantaytambo, one of the last living Inca towns, and visit its impressive fortress.
Enjoy an authentic Andean lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Living Museum of Yucay and Andean Interpretation Center to observe traditional textile weaving, pottery, adobe work, and silver craftsmanship, as well as llamas and alpacas.
After your Sacred Valley exploration, you will be transferred to your selected hotel in the Sacred Valley for an overnight stay, with breakfast included.
Accommodation options:
After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to the train station to board the train to Aguas Calientes. Along the way, pass notable landmarks in the Sacred Valley, including the hanging bridge marking the start of the Inca Trail. The railway follows the Urubamba River (Vilcanota River), descending through a canyon to Aguas Calientes, the town at the base of Machu Picchu.
Upon arrival, board a minibus up the winding road to Machu Picchu for your Machu Picchu Guided Visit, exploring the Sacred Citadel of the Incas and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. After the tour, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before returning to Cusco by train / van. Arrival is expected in the late afternoon, with transfer to your hotel.
Accommodation options:
At the appropriate time, you will be transferred to the Cusco airport to check in for your flight to Lima (airfare not included).
