Urubamba, Peru: Urubamba River Rafting. Upon arrival, you will receive your rafting equipment and a safety briefing (toilet facilities and changing rooms are available). After a short practice session on the calmer sections of the river, we will begin our journey on gentle waters, enjoying spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and archaeological remains.
We will then continue toward Ollantaytambo, where you’ll admire its remarkable Inca terraces. Here, we’ll navigate exciting class II–III rapids, culminating in ‘El Resbaladero’ (The Slide), a thrilling class III rapid featuring waves and small whirlpools.
Our adventure ends at the river takeout point in Tambo Apumayo, located in Cachiccata (toilets and changing rooms available), just a 10-minute drive from Ollantaytambo. After the rafting experience, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Urubamba.
