I want you to know that we arrived safely back to the US. Thank you for all of your help with our changes due to the hurricane. We very much enjoyed Manuel Antonio and Arenal and are sorry that we missed Monteverde. Our guide, Homer, was terrific and we really enjoyed his knowledge and camaraderie.
We toured the Doka coffee plantation and La Paz Waterfall gardens with Homer, and we were treated to way more than we could have imagined. Great knowledge of local flora, fauna, history, and a wonderful person overall. A wonderful day in the cloud forest!

After a wonderful visit to Buenos Aires, known as the “Paris of the Americas,” your journey continues to Bariloche, followed by a scenic combination of bus and lake travel through the stunning Andean region of Patagonia, all the way to Puerto Varas in Chile.
In Buenos Aires
Meet and greet at Ezeiza, Buenos Aires International Airport. Your driver will be waiting for you at the exit of the international terminal showing a sign with your name(s) and provide you with a private transfer to the NH Collection Buenos Aires Lancaster Hotel for a 3-night stay with breakfast included. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.
Explore Buenos Aires with your guide on the Buenos Aires City Tour & Recoleta Cemetery, starting at Plaza de Mayo to see the Casa Rosada, Pirámide de Mayo, and Metropolitan Cathedral. Stroll Avenida de Mayo to the Obelisco, visit La Boca’s colorful Caminito and tango streets, then discover Palermo’s parks and Recoleta’s Church of Nuestra Señora del Pilar, Palais de Glace, and Recoleta Cemetery, resting place of Evita Perón. Return to your hotel with lasting memories of the city’s vibrant history and culture.
In the evening, enjoy an authentic tango show with a delicious dinner.
Step into Argentina’s rural heritage on a full-day journey to San Antonio de Areco, enjoying the San Antonio de Areco City Tour & Estancia Ombu de Areco Experience with Lunch. Explore cobblestone streets, the main square, and San Antonio de Padua Church before visiting the 19th-century estancia for a traditional lunch, afternoon tea, and optional activities like horseback riding or strolling the estate. Return to Buenos Aires with lasting memories of the pampas and gaucho traditions.
At the appropriate time, your local host will provide a private transfer to the domestic airport for your flight to San Carlos de Bariloche (airfare not included). Upon arrival, enjoy meet and greet service and a private transfer to the NH Edelweiss Hotel for a 2-night stay with breakfast. The remainder of the day is free for you to explore Bariloche at your leisure.
Depart Bariloche on a journey through Valle Encantado’s iconic rock formations on the Bariloche Grand Circuit Experience, then continue along the Traful River to Villa Traful with a scenic cliff viewpoint. Drive the Seven Lakes Road to Villa La Angostura, passing Lakes Correntoso and Espejo. Enjoy Bonito River waterfalls, Mount Bayo ski slopes, and time for lunch (not included). Return to Bariloche; winter weather may affect the tour.
Begin your Andean Crossing to Peulla, Chile, with a bus transfer to Puerto Panuelo along Lake Nahuel Huapi, admiring Swiss-style architecture and gardens. Board the catamaran Victoria Andina or Victoria del Lago to Puerto Blest, then continue by motor coach to Puerto Alegre and sail on the City of Faith past Tronador Volcano. Finally, a motor coach takes you to Peulla, enjoying stunning Andean landscapes and views of the volcano’s nine glaciers.
Check in at Natura Patagonia Hotel in Peulla for an overnight stay with breakfast included. This evening, enjoy dinner at the hotel.
Begin your journey on the Andean Lake Crossing: Peulla to Puerto Varas, sailing across Lake Todos los Santos with views of Osorno Volcano, Tronador Volcano, and Puntiagudo Hill. Continue to Puerto Varas, stopping en route at Petrohué Falls (admission not included). After enjoying the beautiful natural scenery, check in at the Cabana del Lago Hotel for a three-night stay with breakfast included. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.
Important Note: Note: The Andean Lake Crossing is a pre-programmed tourist circuit. Schedules are approximate and may change due to weather conditions or the number of participants. In some cases, an additional overnight stay in Peulla may be required en route to Puerto Varas before continuing the next day as planned (additional night not included).
After breakfast, travel along the Route of the Settlers on The Route of the Settlers – Llanquihue & Frutillar, visiting Llanquihue and the charming lakeside town of Frutillar. Admire Bavarian-style architecture, gardens, and views of Osorno and Puntiagudo volcanoes, with an optional visit to the German Colonial Museum before returning to your hotel.
Today, travel to Pargua and begin Sail to Colorful Chiloe Island, boarding the ferry across the Chacao Channel and spotting native wildlife. Arrive at Chacao Pier to admire colorful stilt houses, then continue to Dalcahue and its waterside market before reaching Castro, the island’s capital. Enjoy panoramic views of the famous Palafitos from Gamboa, visit San Francisco Church, and explore Chiloé’s largest handicraft market. After the excursion, return to the hotel.
At the designated time, meet your driver for a private transfer to Puerto Montt Airport to check in for your onward flight.
